About
The Yuba County Public Works Department is an integral part of the Community Development and Services Agency bringing together maintenance, engineering, surveying, and parks services to safeguard public health, safety, and general welfare of the communities it serves. Public Works is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the County’s roadways, bridges, drainage facilities, and parks. The department is also responsible for ensuring planned infrastructure is designed and constructed properly and supports orderly development. In addition, Public Works is responsible for County Surveyor duties including tract maps, parcel maps, records of surveys, and lot line adjustments. The department also provides support and administration for the South Yuba Transportation Improvement Authority (SYTIA) and County Service Areas (CSAs).

In the pursuit of making Yuba County a unique and thriving place to live, work and play, Public Works strives to provide responsive and thorough maintenance of the County’s public infrastructure, while ensuring public facilities accompanying new development are designed and constructed to current standards.

As required by the Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Yuba County has conducted a self-evaluation of its facilities within public rights of way and has developed a Transition Plan that outlining how the County will ensure those facilities are accessible to all individuals.
Self Evaluation and Transition Plan
It is the policy of Yuba County Public Works that no person shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination in any operation of Yuba County Public Works as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes. This prohibition applies to all branches of Yuba County Public Works, its contractors, consultants, and anyone else who acts on behalf of Yuba County Public Works.
