Yuba County is developing a grant application to support a proposed Community Resilience Center in West Linda. The center would provide a safe, accessible space for emergency preparedness and response, as well as programs and resources for the community year-round. The project is currently in the planning and grant application stage, and funding has not yet been awarded.
Yuba County is developing an application to the California Strategic Growth Council Community Resilience Centers Program, Round 2, to support the development of a Community Resilience Center in West Linda.
Community Resilience Centers are designed to provide safe, accessible spaces that help communities prepare for and respond to emergencies such as extreme heat, poor air quality, power outages, wildfires, and other climate-related events. They are also intended to serve residents year-round through programs, services, resources, and activities that strengthen community resilience.
The proposed West Linda Community Resilience Center is currently in the grant application and planning stage and has not yet been awarded funding. The County is working with local partners and community members to identify needs and priorities that will help shape the proposed project. Additional project details, timelines, and proposed improvements will continue to be developed through the grant application process.

- Provide a safe and accessible location for residents during emergencies and extreme weather events.
- Improve access to resources, information, and services that support community preparedness and resilience.
- Offer year-round programs, services, and activities that respond to local community needs.
- Strengthen coordination among local agencies, community organizations, and residents.
- Ensure the design and future use of the center are informed by the people who live, work, attend school, receive services, or otherwise spend time in the West Linda community.
