Sidewalks
Yuba County follows the California Streets and Highways Code 5610 (Maintenance of Sidewalks) and Yuba County Sidewalk Repair Ordinance No. 1593, Section 11.28.060(a).
Sidewalk Inspections
Public Works conducts sidewalk inspections after a complaint is received. Once a complaint is filed, County staff will inspect the location and, when repairs are needed, notify the adjacent property owner and oversee the repair process in accordance with County ordinance.
Report a Sidewalk Problem
To report a damaged sidewalk, complete the Sidewalk Complaint Form. Email it to [email protected]. If you have received a sidewalk repair notice, contact [email protected] as soon as possible so staff can assist you through the repair process.

Streetlights
Who do I call to report a burned-out streetlight?
First, locate the pole light number on the streetlight pole (approximately 7 feet above the ground).
- Cobblestone/Plumas Lake area: If the pole number begins with "YC", email Yuba County Public Works at [email protected] or call (530) 749-5420. Be prepared to provide the pole number, street, and nearest cross street.
- All other streetlights: Contact PG&E Maintenance Division at (800)743-5000 or submit a Streetlight Issue Report online at through PG&E's form. Please include the pole number and streetlight location when reporting the issue.
